Young’s appoints former Sisters Food exec as new Group Operations Director

Mark Richmond jumps ship.

Young’s Seafood Limited has today announced the appointment of Mark Richmond as Group Operations Director.

Richmond replaces Steve Lidgett who is retiring. The team is being built up after top execs Group Operations Director Duncan McIntyre and Humberstone Road processing site Head of Operations Billy Storer left the company after only a few months for unknown reasons.

Prior to joining Young’s, Richmond was the Divisional Operations Director for the 2 Sisters Food Group Meals Solution Division, responsible for operations across seven sites with over half a billion pounds of turnover. Before that he spent 11 years with Greencore, most recently as Category Operations Director, and formerly held several senior Operational roles at Hazlewood Foods and Entenmanns Baking Company.

Bill Showalter, Chief Executive of Young’s Seafood Ltd, said: “I’m pleased to announce that Mark Richmond will join our business as Group Operations Director, and member of the Young’s Seafood Ltd Board. Throughout his career, Mark has driven best in class quality, commercial and customer focussed organisations that are able to succeed in demanding industries.”

His appointment will take effect in mid May 2019.
