Man died on the scene at salmon farmers’ plant in Chile.
Cooperativa reports that 39-year-old contractor Fernando Hernández Gallardo died from his injuries when a forklift vehicle fell on him at a Mowi plant in Puerto Montt, southern Chile.
Gallardo was working for PB Maintenance Services Cleaning Company, which does contract work for Mowi.
At about 10:45 am on Monday morning, it is believed that the forklift overturned and trapped him.
Emergency teams arrived but could not resuscitate the victim, who was declared dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
